Grammy-winning singer Rihanna will reportedly testify against Chris Brown next month in their highly publicized domestic dispute case.
Brown's lawyer appeared in a California courtroom today (May 28).
The leak of a photo showing Rihanna's bloodied face is not relevant to the assault arrest of her former boyfriend, Chris Brown, a judge said. Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg described the leak of what appears to be a police evidence photo to the gossip site TMZ.com as "not a good thing" and possibly a crime, but she brushed aside suggestions by Brown's attorney that it impacted evidence to be presented against the R&B singer at a June 22 preliminary hearing. Brown did not attend the hearing. The 19 year-old has pleaded not guilty to assault and criminal threats charges stemming from a Feb. 8 incident in which Rihanna, 21, claimed he beat, punched and bit her as she rode in his rented Lamborghini.
Roc-A-Fella Records producer Kanye West recently spoke on the status of Jay-Z's long-awaited Blueprint 3 album and explained its delayed release.
Confirming the project is still in the works, Ye said Jigga has been taking his time to create a solid record.

News: BREAKING: C-Murder Sentenced To 10 Years, Pleads "No Contest" To Attempted Murder
Rapper C-Murder has pleaded no contest to two counts of attempted second-degree murder. In the plea agreement, C-Murder, whose real name is Corey Miller, will be sentenced by the judge to 10 years in prison. The formal sentencing will be August 25th.

Gucci Mane announces that he has signed to Warner Bros. Records where he will release his new studio album in August, it also marks the end of his relationship with Big Cat Records. Big Cat is to release its final CD on Gucci Mane today that consists of pre-2007 recordings and outtakes that were not assembled or endorsed by Gucci Mane.

1. Real Street Niggaz “Real Street Niggas” is that old Dirty. We giving them that gangsta because a lot of niggas in the game are on that phony shit. The way the game done changed now, if you ain’t real, you ain’t shit. So, this is basically for them niggas that are real street niggas. Whether you grind or whatever you are doing, if you a real nigga that’s what this song is for. We always been into gangsta music, so we had to give them something to set ‘em off.
2. She In Da ClubYou already know. For the Dirty albums, we always cater to every aspect of every person’s experience. Things we go through or what others may go through. So “She In Da Club” is catered to the women. You can find a girl in the club dancing with a freaky dress on, a purse on her shoulder, and a cup on her hand. They be like “fuck these hoes, cause I’m the baddest bitch.” its basically self explanatory. That’s what I had in mind when I wrote the song, females love the club.
3. He Want Da Money (Feat. Rich Boy)It’s something like a get like me type song. Like spending 4 gz, we done did that shit. You got a young nigga coming up and he want the money, but he don’t know how to get it. So basically he’s asking me, and I’m going through the stuff and telling him what he need to do and how he need to do it. That was kind of like a different twist to a lot of songs like that.
4. Alien (Feat.Mr. Blue)That got a lot to do with the feelings that we have had as far as being with different labels. They really didn’t show us the love that they showed other artists that was on the label. Its alienating when you go to another city and you got this label signing this many artists from this city and out they comfort zone. We coming from Alabama and we up there, we feel funny cause it be like damn, is a muthafucka gonna get behind us like they suppose to? But they put money behind this muthafucka and this muthafucka. Why ain’t we getting that same love? So that’s how that song came from that aspect and just being in a different comfort zone.

You know how you get to that point where you climbing that mountain and it just seems like no matter what it is you just keep going and you can’t reach the top. You just wanna give up, but you been in this shit so long, how can you give up? A nigga ain’t getting nothing out of it, but you just can’t give up. I feel like everything I’ve done did around my career from rapping in the third grade, my life has been catered to this rap business. It’s been dedicated to this music, catered to doing hole in the wall shows, signing and being dropped to labels. It’s just been my whole life and I feel like I’ve given my whole life to this music business.
6. She Getting Money (Feat. Da Black Paris Hilton & Ihop)It’s the movement of the women as far as women getting their own. You got women that go to the club to have some fun and me hearing from women I know. The first thing a dude do is try to holla at them. I felt like that was a topic for a song. If that’s how women feel like every time they in a club that a muthafucka is trying to holla at them and trying to fuck with them by flashing money. What they got to realize, there’s women out there that got more money in they pocket than you. It’s a new time right now. Women getting money just like men getting money. It’s showing that women are in power right now and just doing their thing.

8. SuicideThat song derives from having two homeboys that were close to me that killed their selves. One killed their self back in 2005 and one just recently. He killed his girl, killed his mama, and then murked himself. How could I not talk about it? Whatever he was thinking about when he did it, no one will ever know that. I gave some situations on my song and how I feel like why a nigga would want to kill himself on. Like not being able to get money, not being able to take care of your kids, or just fucked up. Sometimes a nigga be so depressed that he can’t take it no more. I’m letting everybody know from the eyes of how he might feel or felt at the time that he did that. The bears of the world just hit your shoulders so hard that it would make you want to kill yourself.

I love that muthafucka. It’s like speaking the truth. It’s like once it’s written like as far as the bible. Once it’s written and recorded, it’s the truth. It was some thoughts that needed to be said. I wanted to let folks know that it’s the realest shit that I’ve ever wrote. I’m speaking on the Atlanta movement and how everybody is sticking together and why is my city not sticking together like they should be. We need to do better as people regardless.
10. Stay On Da GrindPretty much to stay on that initial hustle. Whatever you started with, at times you be wanting to give up, but you got to stay on it, no matter how bad it might get. Some days you might need to eat Vienna Sausage or Roman Noodles. If you in that grind real, no matter what it is, whatever your grind is, just stay on it. If it benefits you and family, stay on it, and don’t give up.

It’s talking about how niggas living of drug money and how they get it. Just handling your business and doing your business.

You fuck around and do some shit like lose two stacks in a crap game and get robbed the same night. That’s how a nigga feel at times and you feel like you the only person in this world and you be like fuck the world. How can I love this world when it don’t love me? A lot of shit that goes on in the world you turn your nose to because it ain’t benefiting me.
13. Born In The Ghetto (Feat. Khujo Goodie)That one crazy man. We always give them the bad side and good side. If we talk about drug money or fuckin’ with hoes or ridin’ on 26’s, I gotta give the other side to it. I feel like this album here was a real calm album. It was none of that bust a nigga head like we used to. I wanted to go this route because of songs like “Suicide and “Shit Changed.” I got more positive songs on here than those last albums. I think that comes with growth. You can only give a muthafucka so much negative before you realize that it ain’t good saying that. Give a nigga some knowledge with the shit you feed. If it takes giving a nigga a club song for them to get the album and just to get the message, than that’s what you gotta do. This album here we grew more and we had to give them some knowledge.

According to People magazine and other various sources, singer Rihanna and rapper/singer Drake have been spotted together in New York City.
The two entertainers were spotted at Lucky Strike Lanes & Lounge, a popular bowling lounge in New York City, earlier this week.
A source told People magazine that "The two of them were stealing kisses here and there the whole night…They were very cute. Both of them were in really good spirits [and] she was having a great time."
The source also went on to explain that the two danced and hung out with friends until about midnight.
Although Rihanna has yet to speak on the relationship between the two artists, Drake revealed to HOT97‘s Cipha Sounds and Paul Rosenberg that the two are only friends [

Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z has confirmed reports which claimed he has purchased the remainder of his business contract with Def Jam Records, including his unreleased Blueprint 3 album obligation.
Jigga kept details to a minimum, however, he did say a conversation with Def Jam executives has already taken place.
"I can honestly say, working with Doug Morris and LA Reid has been a unique and fulfilling experience and I respect them immensely," Jay said in an interview. But interestingly, all her pictures were only taken from the bust and up.
Back in February, YBF caught up with Lauren and asked her about the pregnancy rumors that were swirling back then–and of course she denied it. But our source–who’s actually a Hollywood celebrity themselves–slipped up in a recent convo with YBF and spilled the beans. As for the father of Lauren’s baby–we’re told she confirmed it’s Lil Wayne! We got further confirmation of Lauren’s pregnancy from a celeb’s manager. Apparently said manager received a movie role for his client after it was first offered to Lauren. When the manager asked why Lauren wouldn’t take the role, the manager was made aware of Lauren’s pregnancy status. We’re told Lauren’s taking time off from her career as her current conditions aren’t “favorable” right now.

Records have leaked online that reveal T.I.'s artist, Cedric "Alfamega" Zellars, as a one time Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) informant and government witness.
According to a report from The Smoking Gun, Grand Hustle's Alfamega worked with the DEA in the mid-1990's.
Court records show that Zellars began working with law enforcement officials after he was sentenced in September 1995 to 110 months in a federal gun case (Zellars, who had a prior felony robbery conviction, was collared for selling weapons to an undercover federal agent). Zellars "agreed to cooperate with authorities and was debriefed" about the criminal activity of several individuals. "In particular he was debriefed concerning the drug trafficking activities of a Mr. Ali Baaqar," according to a government court filing. During his cooperation against Baaqar, Zellars met with a DEA agent and a federal prosecutor, and subsequently testified at trial. "Ali Baaqar was convicted of conspiracy to distribute heroin based upon the trial testimony of [Zellars] and others." In return for his snitching, Zellars had 18 months shaved off his prison term when he was resentenced in July 1997 by Judge J. Owen Forrester.

In the wake of the sensationalism behind the drug conspiracy indictment of former Clipse manager Anthony “Geezy” Gonzalez, Malice has released the revealing video blog detailing his real life away from Hip-Hop music.
With nearly all of their music revolving around the illegal and community destroying practice of drug dealing, Malice admitted his participation in advocating the “foolishness” of these actions over his 10-plus years as a Hip-Hop musician.
“I am and have been part of the problem,” Malice confessed. “I need foolishness in my Hip-Hop. I need foolishness in my movies, I happen to like that. A movie is not good unless you got some bricks getting moved or people getting killed. When I get in that booth and start recording I can drive as many Bentleys as I want. I can hop on as many G5’s or drop as many tops as I want.”
The veteran Virginia emcee clarified the misconception that the Clipse simply celebrate the drug dealer lifestyle.
“We ain’t out there just frivolously shooting up your block where innocent bystanders can get hit,” Malice stated. “One thing I can say about the Clipse and Re-Up Gang is that we just paint those pictures for you. We give you the pros and the cons We give you the ramifications and consequences of what could happen and what does happen. We don’t just give you the glorious street life.”
For young and impressionable Hip-Hop out fans, Malice drew a distinct difference between the aura and image that surrounds the Clipse’s music, and the reality of his life outside entertainment.
“When the spotlight ends and the industry hoopla is over with, I just want to show you how my life is really like. See that right there? That’s not a Bentley, that doesn’t even have rims on it,” he stated, pointing to his truck. “If you’re 25 or older, I’m not even talking to you,” Malice continued. “Y’all already know everything. If you’re 13 and trying to get in the game, do that. I love Hip-Hop and understand the dream and the big chain. But you gotta learn to separate the real from the fake…So when the music stops, along with all the dealing and killing, what good is it if you’re not around to enjoy your success?”
The Clipse’s third LP Till the Casket Drops is tentatively scheduled to drop in September 2009.
The Kanye West featured first single "Kinda Like a Big Deal" was released on April 20, followed by a Bun B-assisted remix on April 30.
